Founded in 1904, the Institute of Chartered Certified Accountants is the world’s leading body of professional accountants.  UK legislation authorizes ACCA members to perform audit, investment advisory and merger execution.

The ACCA qualification is recognized by various professional organizations and bodies.  ACCA has established and maintained close ties with government departments, educational institutions, enterprises and industry leaders.  At the same time, ACCA stays alert to new trends and regulations and assists relevant bodies to improve or refine new regulations.

ACCA is known in China as “International Certified Public Accountants”. In fact, ACCA is one of the INSTITUTES of Certified Public Accountants in the UK (there are several INSTITUTES of Certified Public Accountants in the UK), but it is one of the four institutes of Certified Public Accountants with a chartered title in the UK. It is also one of the well-known international accounting organizations today.

ACCA is a founding member of the International Accounting Standards Board (IASC) and a leading member of the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC).  ACCA plays an important role in accounting organisations such as the European Association of Accounting Experts (FEE), the Federation of Accountants in Asia Pacific (CAPA) and the Caribbean Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAC).
